Starting my exchangelife in Austria

Hi everyone!

I have just started my exchange period here in Wiener Neustadt, in Austria. I'm so excited to be here and I hope (and believe) that it's going to be great! I'm going to study Business Consultancy in University of Applied Sciences and i'm going to study some Marketing and of course German language. In Finland I study Business Administration in Finnish and I'm specialized in Fashion and Retail.

I came here last Friday, so weekend went pretty much by getting to know this place and meeting other exchange students. On Saturday we went to the shops to get all the necessary items for living and of course some food and cheap wine. ;) Later on Saturday we went to the city center for some partying and see the clubs, it was lots of fun! On Sunday we spend some time at lake by swimming and sun bathing. That was really nice, because it was really hot day.

School started on Monday with introductions and we visited the city center for ice creams and some 'lunchtime' beers. Quite nice way to start the academic year I think. For now we have had couple days school and I had my timetable, which looks really empty for me, because I have school like two or three days per week. But I don't mind, I will have time to see the Central Europe. ;)

All the other exchange students seems to be really nice and I can't wait to get to know them better. :) There is many other Finnish students (seven including me), so we kind of have Team Finland here. I think Austria (and other German speaking countries) it's quite popular choice for the Finns to go exchange. It's nice to have support here, because my English (or German) isn't that good yet, especially when it's about speaking out loud. :D I hope that I get rid of my fear to speak and make mistakes while talking. So if there is some other exchange students reading this and I haven't talked so much with you, it's just because I'm still bit scared and shy with my English skills. So, please, be patient with me. :D

Unfortunately I haven't taken so much pictures yet. So there is only text (and some pictures from my Instagram) this time, but I promise that I will take lots of them during this semester!

Ps. If you want to follow me on Instagram, my account is @mimmijam

xoxo,

Mimmi
